ricamolet on "[Theme: Sixteen] Child Theme styles being overriden"

I made a child theme from this, and somehow my style.css is still being overridden by the themes main. The only way I can override it is if I put it in the edit css section under the appearance tab. But that shouldn't be the only way.What if I need to update your theme, will it replace all my styles if its in the edit css?

I'm just use to making a child theme, so not sure why its not calling my styles.
