simple-mind on "Making your own theme"

Hey,
I am trying to make my own theme but i am not quite sure how i start making my own theme any suggestions?
what are wordpress frameworks can they be used to make themes ?
If you can guide me to any resource it would be really helpful :)
P.S:
My coding skills are not so great but i am a quick learner ;)
