I installed Magazine Basic 3.0 and have the same complaints as previous posters (it trashed my site, and I had to totally rework it). Having reworked everything, I was trying to properly implement a child theme to hopefully avoid the bulk of such problems in the future. (I am a pretty new WordPress user.)
One of the features I like in 3.0 is the ability to use a Header Image. However, when I go into my Child Theme, the Header Image option does not display, even though all the other new theme options display. I have tried everything I can think of and spent a great deal of time with no luck. Why do I not get the Header Image option and how can I remedy that?
