artist57 on "Child theme font color change"

Well I thought I had this figured out but not quite. I am using a child theme over my Customizr theme and have the correct style.css sheet imported. I am using Firefox/Firebug to inspect the html and css elements. I have a menu which I successfully changed the hover font color for but cannot now seem to find the right area to change the base/non-responding color. I downloaded a Custom CSS Manager that I used to change the hover elements with but have been unsuccessful otherwise.

PS Started this all about 5 days ago so your dealing with a complete novice.
Any guidance will be appreciated and explored.
