SkyNetworks on "Updating Child Themes"

Hi Everybody,

Quick question I'm hoping somebody can help me with please. I've previously been told I should avoid making changes directly to a downloaded WordPress theme, but should create a child theme instead, to avoid any problems with future updates to the theme.

Trouble is I've made some changes (big and small) to all of the php files listed below - not just the CSS file - so am wondering if I were to start again from scratch and do it properly by creating a child theme, wouldn't I have to keep on updating all of these other files each time the original adult theme is updated?

I did originally try to create the theme I was after using a framework theme (underscore_s) but failed miserably. Not really sure what to do now.

Thanks,
Lance.
