I developed http://oberry.com on a retina Mac. People viewing it on non-retina see the slider with cropped imagery. (I've adjusted one of the images to compensate, but you can still see the cropping if you are using a non-retina computer.)
On the retina, the slider images take up almost the full height of the screen, and they look great.
