Deborah Delin on "[Theme: Magazine Basic] Image Widget not Displaying in IE"

With the kind help of Jesin on this forum I moved the header widget below the header and have an image displaying in it. I have this code in Custom CSS:

#header-widgets {
  position: absolute;
  right: 0;
  top: 245px;
z-index:550;

}

The image - three little flowers floating below the Navigation Bar - displays in Firefox and Google Chrome but not in Internet Explorer:
