jennymyshe on "Adding links to display banners on my website"

Hello
I would like to add text links, banners and link codes to my website.
I found it to be pretty easy on other webs by going to the links edit page, and copy pasting the Html into the boxe and then it would nicely display on the web as a banner, however i cannot yet manage to do it on words press. Guess i need more practice.
I tried to go to appearance and read few articles about blog rolls, without a clear direction on how to do it.
About the word press version used, it is the last one, but a note yesterday
